I contacted ATG and asked for the weight of the product. (43946XL Director Chair) I received a prompt reply and was very happy to know it weighed 8 lbs., which I needed to carry to the beach. On receiving the chair I opened it and couldn't close it back, thus the instructions question that were not enclosed, I called customer service and was told I would get info ASAP and I heard back quickly with a phone number to help me with my problem. In the meantime my daughter and I figured it out and it is a snap to close and open. I have to lay it on its' side (the chair) and pull up on the bottom bar and it works like a charm. Didn't have to call. The chair is great and will last for a long time and I needed aluminum for the salt air.
